Illustrating Web Layouts

Illustrator is a vector based program used for design, usually to make graphics that can be stretched to any size and still have clean edges. Even though I wouldn't have thought of using Illustrator as a tool to make web layouts, but after reading a few articles I definitely see it's benefits. One of Illustrator's most useful tools is the symbols panel. The many different options can be manipulated to create clean, professional looking buttons, and also keeping a consistent flow throughout your entire website. Illustrator provides many other tools such as textures, advanced text wrapping options, clipping masks and many more. So before you jump right to Photoshop or another design program, consider Illustrator as a definite option.
