As users of the internet, we don't want to spend any amount of excessive time trying to figure out a website. Being able to use a site easily and without question is crucial if you want more and more people to use your website. Check out these three websites that I found that show you exactly what not to do when building a website.
Be your users' best friend.
Center
First off, this website makes you feel like you have to be an advanced visual art student to figure out where you even to start. The scattered layout of this website leaves users asking "What's the point" of almost every single thing featured on this front page. Also, not captured in the screenshot, the gifs that are sporadically placed among the other random content draw your eye away from the possible main point of the title. Overall this website is very confusing, and scattered which is exactly what your user won't put their trust in.
Reforms
This website is rather disappointing because it genuinely looks interesting and cool. The problem is, there is nothing to click on, you can only shuffle through which graphic you'd like to see. The only links located in very small print lead you to a completely different website that is either usable or even more confusing than the original.
Rudgwick Country Show
This website is a complete disaster. The minuscule menu that they have is tucked away at the top and is overshadowed by the immense amount of distracting graphics filling the page. The color scheme is almost non-existent and the confusing "clickable looking" boxes that clutter around the featured date just add to the chaos.
