Pleasant Blink of an Eye

Somehow, I have finished another year of school within what seems like the blink of an eye. I can still vividly remember the end of my senior year and now I'm about to be a sophomore in college. Anyways, this course has been one of my most enjoyable this semester and not just because it is for my major. Even though I know she will read this, Dr. Carol Zuegner has become not only one of my favorite professors but also my adviser. Her laid back, authentic personality makes learning seem like a conversation. The course itself was thoroughly interesting and engaging. I could clearly see how each topic related to real life circumstances and to each other. Although I am not much for reading books for classes, although I am fully aware this is unavoidable in college, I did not gain as much from the reading as I did the class conversation. This could be just because of my learning style, but I found it much more engaging to apply the topics we learned in conversation to see if anyone had any ways to relate. I found all of the videos very entertaining and insightful, as well as comforting that so much material could be found on the internet. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed this course and found the article readings, especially the Diana Sugg piece, to be enriching and interesting. My only complaint is the reading of the books; however, this is rather unavoidable and I see the point of the material. I am so genuinely excited to take other courses in the department, as well as from Dr. Carol Zuegner!

Also, here is a cute picture of a turtle swimming because summer is approaching and I could not be happier!
